Herr Mike’s Top 10 Beers Of 2020

Another year goes by (and what a f*cked up year it was) Here are some of my top picks of craft beers I drank during 2020.

Some of these beers are new this year and some have been around for a while, but this is my first time drinking them. If you read any of my previous “Best Of” articles in the past you know the drill.

The beers are not listed in any special order and the link to the full review and ratings of each beer can be found by clicking in the beer’s name.

If you have any beers that you thought were outstanding for 2020 please leave it in the comments below. Here’s to another year of great craft beers and finding even more in 2021! PROST!

Drake’S Hopocalypse Hazy Double IPA

Another great brew from Drakes. Fruity with a solid malt backbone and some danky pine and grass makes this beer worth seeking.

Founders Marvelroast

Founders does it again with a nice dessert (or breakfast) beer. Creamy with some vanilla and chocolate with just a hint of coffee makes this one worth seeking out.

Three Floyds Zombie Dust

Another great beer that lives up to the hype. Fruity with a nice malt backbone and some caramel with a touch of dankness makes this worth hunting for.

Brewdog Choco Libre Nitro

I never had the regular Choco Libre but I saw this for $10.99 a sixer I had to get it. I’m glad I did. Creamy, chocolaty and not too spicy makes this a great dessert treat!

Bitburger – Sierra Nevada Triple Hop’d Lager

Bitburger and Sierra Nevada did a collab Oktoberfest brew in 2019 and this beer is even better. It may not drink like a true German Lager, but this beer is tasty AF and cheap to boot! Get it while you can!

Sweetwater 420 Strain B-Real Insane OG Mexican Style Craft Lager

I’ve had all the 420 beers from Sweetwater and this one was good. Not as dank in the taste as in the smell but it’s still a tasty Mexican Style Lager.

Rusty Rail Fool’s Gold

I was skeptical about trying this brew because I’m not crazy about PB in beers. I was surprised how much I liked this beer! Basically it’s a liquid peanut butter and banana sandwich.

Revolution Valkyrie Hero

I haven’t had a Hero series beer in a while and this one was tasty. The rye adds a nice spicy kick to this NEIPA.

Flying Dog S’mores Porter

This beer was the last one I drank from the winter variety pack and it was the tastiest. The beer did taste like a liquid smores. Not cloying and well balanced.

Harpoon Dunkin’ Jelly Donut IPA

OH MY ME! This tastes just like a jelly donut!…..Nuff said
